4 Client Success Stories: Innovation Training & Simulation Games in Action
Innovative Dutch | Serious Games for Serious Professionals
As we step into 2025, I want to take a moment to wish you a very happy, meaningful, and growth-filled New Year! 🎉
We wrapped up 2024 on a high note with the completion of training programs on Entrepreneurial Skills at Pfizer, InvestNL and FoodValley and two university courses featuring our game software. These experiences brought valuable insights into how serious games can drive innovation and learning.
In this edition, I’m excited to share key takeaways from these programs and how they might inspire your innovation journey in the year ahead.
Case 1: Fastlane Masterclass: Market Creation & Shaping for InvestNL & FoodValley
Traditional approaches to innovation focus on solving existing pains, targeting underserved needs, and delivering clear value propositions. But what if there’s another way?
Market creation goes beyond finding product-market fit—it’s about building demand and reshaping markets through storytelling, ecosystems, and partnerships. Instead of adapting to existing narratives, you can craft your own to influence how markets evolve and grow.
This was the focus of the recent Fastlane Masterclass, where we explored the power of storytelling and strategic collaboration in market creation. Here’s a look at the insights shared:
Case 2: Bayes Business School - MSc Entrepreneurship
Students at Bayes Business School, part of City University London had the chance to immerse themselves in the Innovation Management Game, where they made strategic decisions about exploration, exploitation, and collaborations. The game challenges participants to understand and navigate complex innovation dynamics, helping them gain a hands-on understanding of the innovation process.
Case 3: Pfizer's Entrepreneurial Skills Masterclass
In collaboration with Pfizer, we recently delivered a masterclass on entrepreneurial skills, focusing on how to say "no" effectively in a professional setting. The session highlighted key aspects of time management and decision-making. This experience was part of our Corporate Masterclasses on Entrepreneurship & Innovation, where participants actively practice real-world scenarios to sharpen their business skills.
Case 4: TU/e's Managing and Organizing Open Innovation Course
In this course, students tackled challenges around managing open innovation and building ecosystems. Through our Business Ecosystems Game, they adopted unique roles within the ecosystem, making critical decisions to shape innovation. This game-based approach not only reinforces theoretical knowledge but also gives students practical experience in dynamic market environments.
If you’re ready to rethink how you approach innovation and explore the potential of market creation, now is the time to act.
