Version 9.3.0 Release Notes: A Major Upgrade in Game Analysis
We are excited to announce the release of version 9.3.0, introducing significant improvements to both team and individual analysis tools and integrating AI-smart assignments. Here are the key updates:
Team-Level Analysis Tools: This version introduces powerful in-game and post-game analysis tools at the team level. Teams will now have access to detailed benchmarks of strategic consistency—comparing their performance against other teams and previous games. A performance score tracker monitors progress during the game, while focus areas are analyzed by decision effects grouped by theoretical topics. These graphs will be shared during feedback sessions for in-depth review.
Individual-Level Analysis: For games featuring the individual track, all the same detailed insights and analysis tools are now available at the individual level, enabling a more personalized learning experience.
AI-Smart Assignments: Assignments have been adjusted to better integrate AI, making smart use of chat programs. New tasks are also designed to be "ChatGPT-proof," encouraging deeper critical thinking and interaction beyond standard AI-generated answers.
Scientific Updates: Some decisions within the game have been updated based on the latest scientific research, particularly in the fields of intra- and interorganizational networking and team motivation behavior.
Fixes and Minor Updates: Minor fixes have been applied to calculations such as the unicity score and tactical agenda, alongside small visual enhancements to reports and dashboards.
This release aims to provide more detailed and insightful feedback, supporting both students and lecturers in extracting maximum value from the gameplay.
Other Updates
This week, we proudly launched the Innovation Management Game at Fontys University of Applied Sciences, specifically for the Industrial Engineering program. In an exciting kickoff event, 110 students gathered at the Pathé Bioscoop, which was rented for the occasion to provide a unique and immersive learning environment.
The day started with an introduction session where students got to know the game and its mechanics through a live demo. They were introduced to the key topics of innovation management and team-based decision-making through a presentation, setting the stage for what was to come. The students eagerly jumped into the first round of the game, applying their strategic insights and experiencing the dynamic nature of innovation management in action.
The energy in the room was high, and the large cinema screens provided the perfect backdrop for a day of interactive learning, discussion, and hands-on gameplay. We’re excited to continue working with these students as they progress through the game and deepen their understanding of real-world innovation challenges!
Stay curious, stay creative, and keep those ideas flowing!
Happy learning,
Jan
